Day 1: The Liquid diet monster Cometh........
Ah.... Day 1.... April 11,2011. The liquid diet.... no solid food for the next 3 weeks. This week simply to prepare my body for the surgery.. AH HELL who am I kidding, its to shrink my liver so the fatty bastard doesnt get in the way of my new band friend. It basically consists of chicken broth, blended down soups, water and protein shakes. Simple right? Yeah technically. Lets hope I dont chew off my own arm these first few days. I am gonna try to be as neutral as possible. Like my wise sister said " I just told myself if my liver was in the way, they cant do the surgery" so I am gonna repear that mantra over and over and over and OVER and OVER in my head...Im sure eventually the hunger will disappear once my body figures out that lovely carb plentiful oh so delicious food isnt coming.... ok sorry.. i sound a little bitter.. im not... really. I made this choice for myself and my health. I wanna be around when my kiddos hit college, when they get married and when they have babies of their own. Hell I wanna be around when my babies babies have babies... Its possible. My Nanny was able to see her children grow up and have children of their own and watch her grandchildren become parents... I know it can happen and Im determined. Granted I could get hit by a bus tomorrow but that is besides the point. Ok so I am rambling.. shoot me... trying to keep my mind off food. So If anyone would like to join me on this journey......... put your hands up :) My husband has decided that he is going to not do straight liquids but he is going to alter his diet. We shall see how long he lasts while hungry lol. I am gonna post some pictures on here of my journey cuz lets face it, people would never take a chance unless they had proof that it worked.. and it DOES work. I know several people who have had the procedure done. Alright Kiddos.. time to put my nose to the grindstone.. Have a great day. Remember, yesterday is a memory, tomorrow isnt promised, thats why they call today the present. Live each day to the fullest.. make it count!
